Make a Difference in the Lives of Seniors Today
At East Arkansas Area Agency on Aging, we believe that everyone has something valuable to contribute, no matter their age or experience. That's why we are always looking for compassionate and dedicated volunteers to join our team.
As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of seniors. Whether you have a few hours to spare each week or are able to make a more significant commitment, there are many ways you can help.
Volunteer Ombudsman
The East Arkansas Area Agency on Aging (EAAAA) Volunteer Ombudsman Program trains and places volunteers in Long Term Care facilities to provide social interaction with the residents. Many residents do not have visitors and suffer from social isolation. By volunteering, individuals can provide much-needed social interaction as well as serve as the eyes and ears of the Ombudsman.
Volunteer Ombudsman will:
- Receive Free Training
- Maintain Strict Confidentiality
- Discuss the needs of the residents with the Ombudsman
- Inform the residents and their families of the Ombudsman Program
- Receive support from EAAAA
