The East Arkansas Area Agency on Aging and Legal Aid work together so that older adults living in Clay, Craighead, Crittenden, Cross, Greene, Lawrence, Lee, Mississippi, Phillips, Poinsett, Randolph and St. Francis counties can receive free legal help.
The East Arkansas Area Agency on Aging works with Legal Aid by referring cases to lawyers who volunteer their services and are eager to give back to their communities through this worthwhile program.
What happens when you case is handled by Legal Aid?
The EAAAA sends your case to the Legal Aid office as quickly as possible. The Legal Aid staff calls an attorney in your county to see if he can help. When the attorney volunteers to help the Legal Aid staff sends a letter asking you to contact the attorney to set a time for a meeting.
