Our Respite Care Services provide temporary relief to persons providing long term care in their homes. As an example this service might provide relief for a daughter who is providing care in her home for her mother. Relief may be provided to address an emergency need or scheduled relief based on the caregivers routine needs.
Respite Care may be available at no cost to persons caring for individuals who are eligible for the Elderchoices (Medicaid Waiver) program. This service is also available to individuals on a private pay basis of $13.84 per hour. All services are provided by trained, certified personal care aides. Upon entering employment at the Area Agency on Aging all personal care aides complete criminal background checks.
