Personal Care Training |

The East Arkansas Area Agency on Aging provides free Personal Care Training to anyone 18 years of age or older. The training includes lessons on communication skills, body functions, diseases common among the elderly and disabled populations, mental health, personal care skills and record keeping.
The classes are conducted at the Area Agency on Aging located at 2005 East Highland in Jonesboro. Classes are held from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. each day. Classes can be held in other counties if interest warrants. Class sizes are limited and the Area Agency on Aging reserves the right to restrict participation.

Upon successful completion of this course an individual will be qualified to work for a provider of personal care services as a personal care aide, under the supervision of a professional person. In order to receive a certificate, participants must attend the entire class and pass a written and skills test.
