How do I arrange a ride?
To arrange a ride you must call at least 48 hours before your doctor’s visit. Weekends and holidays do not count. This means that if your appointment is on:
Monday, call by Thursday
Tuesday, call by Friday
Wednesday, call by Monday
Thursday, call by Tuesday
Friday, call by Wednesday
What information do I need to give the Southeast Transportation?
You must have your Medicaid ID
You need to tell the day, time and place of your appointment
You must give them 48 hour notice
You must be ready when they arrive
What if I must travel outside my region to see a specialist?
Your doctor must give Southeast Transportation a referral that explains why you need to travel farther than normal to see a specialist.
What if I need an urgent appointment?
If your doctor feels your health needs are urgent, Southeast Transportation will waive the 48 hour rule. You doctor must tell Southeast Transportaion why you can’t wait 48 hours.
What if I have appointments at the same time each week?
You need to call Southeast Transportation and ask them to set up a regular schedule for you. If there is a week when you do not need a ride call at least 48 hours before they would have picked you up to cancel for that week.
