This group meets the first Thursday of each month at Gina's in Fountain Square at 7:30 a.m. The breakfast club is a group of individuals from various classes through the EAAAA that enjoy getting together and having a great time. Come join us!
This group of exercisers get together every fourth Thursday and go out to eat at different place each time. You don't have to be a member of the exercise classes to come and join the fun. Please call Alexa Gann for more information at (870) 930-2236.
Organized Softball Program:
The men’s softball team have scheduled practices and ball tournaments April – October. The team has their own field located next to the American Legion. Interested individuals are welcomed to join at any time by contacting Carl Williams at (870) 932-6199 or Claudine Sparks at (870) 935-9473.
Volunteers are an extension of the Area Agency on Aging and provide valuable services such as conducting classes and workshops and assisting with specials projects through out the year.
East Arkansas Area Agency on Aging offers a variety of classes, organized events, health fairs, and informational programs that are conducted periodically and are advertised in your local newspaper.
These activities/classes include:
Super Noggin: Brain health in a fun and unusual way.
Chronic Disease Self Management Program: Learn different methods of coping with chronic disease.
Matter of Balance: Helps individuals understand the importance of exercise.
Virtual Dementia Tour: For individuals that provide care for those with dementia both professionally and in the family setting.
